The Twin Valley Fire Department was proud to be part of a great week of community fun and support during the recent carnival held at Friendship Park. Organized by the Parks and Recreation Committee, this annual event has been a cherished tradition for over 12 years, bringing families, neighbors, and local organizations together. One of the highlights of the event was the popular candy wheel game, where participants could play for just a quarter per number. Winners were able to pick out a box of candy each round, making it a fun and affordable activity for people of all ages. This favorite attraction was made possible thanks to the incredible generosity of Walmart, who donated all the candy for the event. We extend our sincere gratitude for their continued support of our community. Throughout the five-day carnival, members of the Twin Valley Fire Department dedicated their time to selling tickets for both the Africa Trip fundraiser and a 50/50 money raffle, helping to raise funds for an important cause. Their commitment reflects the department’s ongoing dedication not only to emergency response, but also to community outreach and service. Firefighters were also on-site each day, with a fire truck on display and emergency personnel standing by to respond to calls if needed. This allowed attendees to interact with first responders while ensuring that the department remained ready to serve at a moment’s notice. The carnival offered something for everyone. Each evening featured live entertainment, including rock bands that kept the crowds energized. To top it all off, the community enjoyed fireworks on the final two nights, lighting up the sky and creating unforgettable memories for families. Children had a wide variety of rides to enjoy, while food vendors provided plenty of delicious options. From classic carnival treats to refreshing milkshakes, there was no shortage of ways to satisfy your cravings and enjoy the festive atmosphere. This event truly showcased the strength and spirit of our community. The Twin Valley Fire Department would like to thank everyone who came out to support the fundraiser, as well as the Parks and Recreation Committee for organizing another successful year. A special thank you again goes to Walmart for their generous candy donation and ongoing support. Contributions like these help make events like this possible and strengthen the bond within our community. We look forward to continuing this tradition next year.
