Engine and ATV assist to Robeson
By Battalion Chief Darryl Romig
March 29, 2025
Engine 69-5 was alerted to assist Berks 24 (Geigertown) on a working woods fire. Shortly after response, dispatch received requests for additional manpower. ATV 69, towed by Utility 69-1 with manpower, made the response. Engine 69-5 arrived and supplied water to Tanker 72 (Brecknock) who was supplying Attack 24. The crew from Engine 5 made their way in to the woods to assist crews with a fire line to stop the advancing fire along with the Berks county companies. ATV 69 arrived and went into service performing fire suppression and additional manpower helped with the fire line and advancing hose lines. Sawyers were called in to take down some burning trees and gave the crews a break once the fire was contained. Crews then kept working on hot spots and mop up before being released by Chief 24. Engine 69-5 shuttled 3 loads of water from a local creek. Photos from Multiple TVFD firefighters.
