In honor of fire prevention week, first grade students from Twin Valley Elementary Center visited TVFD to speak with real firefighters, learn about the department, and broaden their fire safety knowledge. The students participated in lessons about what to do in an emergency, learned about the tools and trucks, and saw and heard what firefighters are like in full gear. The event was a huge success and we were happy to see some many students being active participants in fire prevention by asking questions to expand their knowledge! We want to thank all of the TVFD members who took time out of their day to assist with the field trip.
