The Twin Valley Forest Fire Crew was officially formed in October 2004, a joint effort between the Elverson Fire Company and the Friendship Fire Company of Morgantown prior to the formation of the current Twin Valley Fire Department. The primary response area for the crew is Pennsylvania's District 17, which includes the following counties: Chester, Berks, Lancaster, Montgomery, Delaware, Philadelphia, Bucks, and Lehigh. All active members of the crew are a minimum PA State Certified 130 and 190 Wildland Firefighters. These training programs are taught by PA DCNR certified instructors.
