By Deputy Chief Corey Hostetler,Pics by Alan Chalfin
February 16, 2010

At 11:03AM, The Twin Valley Fire Department along with Lancaster County Station 3-4 (Churchtown), and an Engine from Station 33 (Honey Brook) were alerted to the old Mrs. Smith's Pies building in the 2900 block of Main Street in Morgantown.

Ladder 69 went responding and was advised by the Chester County Fire Radio that the caller reported an electrical fire on the roof. The Ladder went on scene with nothing showing, and immediately sent a crew to the roof to investigate while Deputy 69 (C.Hostetler) established Main Street Command.

A large piece of conduit was found charred along the roofline. Maintenance personnel were already on scene performing work, and were advised to secure power to the building. Extension was negative after crews inside and out were unable to locate any other issues.

All units cleared at 11:29AM.

Units: Ladder 69, Engine 69-5, Rescue 69
Mutual Aid: Lancaster Tanker 3-4 & Engine 3-4-1 (Churchtown), Engine 33-5 & Ambulance 33-1 (Honey Brook)
